Once a year, the McKenzie Law Firm, P.C. will award a $1,000 college scholarship to a bright, deserving student who exemplifies making the most of their second chance.

About the Second Chance Scholarship
The McKenzie Law Firm, P.C. believes that entering the criminal justice system should not forever and irreparably alter one’s life.
“We want the Second Chance Scholarship to help somebody take advantage of their second chance,” said David McKenzie, founder of the McKenzie Law Firm, P.C.
“Countless people through history have taken advantage of a second chance and gone on to contribute wonderful things in science, business, and the arts. This scholarship will help a worthy student continue their quest to better themselves and their community.”
Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Second Chance Scholarship, applicants must meet these eligibility criteria:
- Have a 3.0 GPA (please submit PDF of unofficial transcript).
- Be enrolled in an accredited college or university, or accepted to an accredited college or university.
- Write a 500-word essay on the topic provided below.
- Be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident.

Application Deadline
The deadline to apply for the Second Chance Scholarship is December 15, 2019.
